LEGAZPI CITY – A Bulgarian participant died after braving the challenge in the popular reality television game show ‘Survivor II’ in Caramoan Peninsula, Camarines Sur on Saturday noon, a police official reported Sunday.
Moncho Vodnicharov, 53 of Bulgaria, Europe suffered from cadiac arrest that led to his instantaneous death at around 12:20 p.m. in Barangay (village) Gota in the town of Caramoan, Partido, said Chief Inspector Ayn Natuel, Bicol regional police spokesperson.
According to Natuel, the challenger passed away after performing an activity as part of the contest during the filming of the international reality series in Gota Beach resort.
Two doctors including a Bulgarian physician, Nicolay Niekov and Filipino Dr. Geniveive Go have confirmed the cause of the death of Vodnicharov.
The victim’s body is set to be airlifted to Manila, said Natuel.
The fourth class municipality of Caramoan with its pristine and white beaches has been gaining attraction for filming reality game show such as the French Edition of the ‘Survivor’ that was shot last year of July in Gota beach. Johana Vi Gasga/Inquirer Southern Luzon
