LEGAZPI CITY – Airplane ticket sales fell at the hands of a suspected robbery gang in a ticket office at Sorsogon, Thursday noon, police official reported Friday.

At least three unidentified men barged at around 1:15 p.m. inside the ticketing office of the Cebu Pacific Airlines located at Barangay (village) Piot, Sorsogon City, said Chief Inspector Ayn Natuel, Bicol regional police spokesperson.

Initial investigation showed that the robbers entered the main door and forcibly opened the drawer, carting away the proceeds of airplane ticket sales, amounting to P50,000.

The employees, on the other hand, were outside the office, taking their lunch during the incident and when they came back, the sales were found missing.

The suspects fled towards Legazpi City on board a blue motorcycle with no plate numbers. Johana Vi Gasga/Inquirer Southern Luzon
