3 teeners dead, 4 injured in Cam. Sur road crash

LEGAZPI CITY -- At least three persons were killed, while 4 others injured when two vehicles collided in Ocampo town, Camarines Sur on late Sunday afternoon, a police official said.

SPO3 Fernando Arejola said that a blue Kawasaki tricycle ( 8628 EE) driven by Allan Bravante, 17, carrying six passengers crashed with a JC Liner bus along Governor Fuentebella highway in Barangay Moriones, Ocampo, Camarines Sur at around 5:30 p.m.

The fatalities who instantly died were Marvin Aguilar, Eugene Vega and Allan Bravante, all 17, of Barangay (village) Himao, Pili Camarines Sur, Arejola said.

Initial investigation showed that the bus in a fast speed, heading towards Naga City was unable to control its brakes when a tricycle suddenly appeared on an opposite direction, overtaking a loaded truck.

Arejola added that the victims were on its way to Sagnay town in Camarines Sur when the head-on collision between the two vehicles happened.

The passengers who got injured were Analuna Albao, 17 of San Francisco, Canaman; Monica Ochales of Libmanan, Mark John Galon and Mark Joseph Pas, both residents of Barangay Himao, Ocampo, Camarines Sur.

They were immediately brought to Bicol Medical Center in Naga City due to their critical conditions, Arejola said.
