LEGAZPI CITY – A farmer was killed and another companion inside his residence was wounded when two unidentified armed men fired shots at them in Sta. Elena town, Camarines Norte on Saturday morning, a police official reported Tuesday
Adriano Lacsina, 24 was shot dead while his brother-in-law, Marvin Marbella, 22 sustained injuries at around 7:00 a.m. in Purok 5, Sitio Batungal, Barangay San Lorenzo, Sta. Elen, Camarines Norte, Chief Inspector Ayn Natuel, Bicol regional police spokesperson said.
Initial investigation showed the victims were inside their house when the assailants suddenly appeared and shot Lacsina several times that led to his immediate death while Marbella received gunshots on his left leg.
Relatives brought Marbella and Lacsina to Rosary Virgin Mary Hospital at Poblacion, Sta. Elena town, however the latter was declared dead on arrival by the physician while Marbella is undergoing treatment.
The perpetrators , on the other hand, fled after the incident towards unknown direction. Johana Vi Gasga/Inquirer Southern Luzon
