Kid found dead in fishpond

LEGAZPI CITY -- An eight-year old boy was found dead in a fishpond in Tabaco City on early Monday morning, police spokesperson reported Tuesday.

John Rey Peña of Purok-4, Barangay (village) Bariw, Malinao town in Albay was seen floating by a certain Romulo Berlon at around 6 a.m. in Moran Estate Subdivision in Matagbac village, Tabaco city said Chief Inspector Ayn Natuel, Bicol regional police spokesperson.

Natuel said that the victim was last seen alive last Sunday while hunting birds together with three companions, Sherwin Uson, 8, Samuel Uson, 12 and another unknown friend. The victim found missing afterwards.

According to the reports reaching Camp Gen. Simeon A. Ola, the Uson brothers and the other companion went back home at around 3:30 p.m. while Peña stayed behind at the place

Tabaco city PNP is conducting investigation in the incident.
