LEGAZPI CITY – It’s about caring and healing through a mission.
The Municipal Government of Camalig launched a medical mission and humanitarian activities at Barangay Panoypoy in Camalig town, Albay last October 1.
A total of 232 residents benefited from the free medical consultations, while at least 76 were given free dental services in the three villages of Panoypoy, Del Rosario and Magogonall in Camalig town, Albay.
The said medical mission was participated in by the Municipal Health Office of Camalig, headed by Dra. Ma. Crispa Florence MD and Dr. Saniel Surabos MD; Rural Health Unit/Barangay Healthyworkers headed by Ms Brenda Moratalla; volunteer nurses from Aquinas university, headed by Ms. Molly Sarmento and; the 901st Infantry Brigade, PA headed by Major Inocencio Santos.
The activity was part of the Barangay empowerment being undertaken by the ACCORD team in facilitating the delivery of basic social services in the communities.
The people expressed their gratitude for the volunteers who treated them and for continuously helping them to address their immediate needs.
