Free medical check-ups, humanitarian services to Legazpeños

LEGAZPI CITY – The City Health Office (CHO) of Legazpi, in collaboration with other local agencies launched a medical mission and humanitarian activities at Sitio Puting Daga, Barangay Cabangan , Legazpi City last September 28.

Dubbed “Peace and Security, our Shared Responsibility”, the Legazpi CHO conducted medical services, which include medical check-up, consultation, tooth extractions, circumcision, feeding and ophthalmology for eye check up.

The activity was also supported by the Armed Foprces of the Philippines (AFP) Concerns on Community Organizing for Development (ACCORD) team of the 901st Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army in collaboration with the Adventist Community Service of Legazpi City; Junior Chamber International Daraga and the provincial government of Legazpi City.

A kick-off activity was held with invited lecturers from Joint Task Force, Magayon of AFP, 21st Civil relation Unit of the AFP and the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA 5).

The activity was part of the information drive that focused on environment, disaster preparedness/response and drug prevention.
